First off, all my phone calls with Terrance before bringing my car in were great! He was very helpful and patient as I explained what was going on with my car, fearing I was starting to have major transmission problems. Then when I brought my car in, they were fabulous. I have a Volvo and they are not made such that you can easily check or add transmission fluid yourself. Turned out I was practically out of transmission fluid after my previous mechanic of 15 years had changed it just 6 weeks ago. Terrance also went over other recommended maintenance and it was all stuff that I expected as well (brakes, tune up to address idling and turbo sluggishness). My car drives great now, no more gear slipping and chunking, and all it took was the relatively inexpensive fluid change (done properly this time). I have found a new, trustworthy, reasonably priced mechanic!!
